On January 7, 2017 Karl Marlantes, a Marine Infantry Officer in Vietnam and a recipient of the Navy Cross penned an opinion piece for the New York Times entitled “Vietnam — the war that Killed Trust.” Karl has been a guest on ALL MARINE RADIO numerous times and was gracious enough to sit down with us and discuss his opinion piece, why he wrote it and what he hoped to achieve by writing it.
