Earlier this week the Commanding General of the 2nd Marine Division published Policy Letter 5-19 to the 2nd Division. The letter is entitled “Basic Daily Routine” but the subject is discipline. In the aftermath of its publication the typical “churn” has resulted on social media. MajGen Furness joined ALL MARINE RADIO this morning to lay out his thoughts on discipline, the reasons behind the “stand down” and why discipline is not an optional event for Marines.
