The Marine Corps is having a robust discussion about “discipline” that was touched off by actions of the Commanding General of the 2nd Marine Division, MajGen David Furness.  The discussion has been a healthy one for an organization that prides itself on being discipline but by all account is not quite as disciplined as it would like to be. In the middle of that discussion are the two forums that have historically been the vehicles through which such topics are debated — the Marine Corps Gazette & Leatherneck Magazine.  We spoke to the editor of the Gazette, Chris Woodbridge, to get his thoughts on the debate as well as its implications for a reinvigorated intellectual spirit in the Marine Corps. Woody discusses both the June and July issues of the Gazette

A GREAT interview and a variety of topics!
