The world will have an opportunity to act to end a series of things that China does as a nation in defiance of the post-World War II international “rules based order” which China seeks to rewrite for its own political and economic purposes. At the center of this opportunity are China’s lies relative to the Covid19 virus which essentially deprived the world of months of preparation time — preparation time that could have been used to limit the death and economic damage that is unfolding on a daily basis, most of which was preventable.
The question is — will the nations of the world require this, or will they roll over to China’s continued economic extortion? “Developing Nation” status in the World Trade Organization? The “Nine Dash Line”? Predatory economic practices to destroy industries in developed nations around the world?
Will the US, the UK and the EU act? We shall see.
