Yesterday’s impeccably done Medal of Honor ceremony for the family of US Air Force Tech Sgt John Chapman was a peaceful ending to a not so peaceful fight in the special operations community. Credit should be given to the SEDEF and Chairman Dunford for ending this incredibly stupid fight that covered the SEALs in mud. We’ll talk about the Navy special operations community’s opposition to TSgt Chapman’s Medal of Honor and why Air Force and Army special operators were indignant about it.
SECDEF Mattis recently issue a letter to his Service Secretaries, Service Chiefs and Commanders of Combatant Commands entitled “Discipline & Lethality” — he wants a more disciplined force and he’s tired of commanders using “administrative measures” when court martials are appropriate. We’ll talk about it.
