During March and April of 2003, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance, operating as part of Colonel Joe Dunford’s Regimental Combat Team-5 fought their way from Kuwait to Baghdad . Retired Marine Corps Colonel Duffy White was the Commanding Officer of 1st LAR and joined ALL MARINE RADIO to discuss his time with the Battalion, their preparation to deploy to Kuwait, the preparations in Kuwait, the March Up from Kuwait to Baghdad and the lessons he learned during that fight .
