Shelley Federico was a Marine Corps wife living in base housing at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia in 2010. After living on base and becoming sick, her family moved off base and she sued Lincoln Military Housing for allowing the conditions that made her sick and won. CNN did a story in 2012 on the mold issue at Naval Station Norfolk and in April of 2012 Legislation was introduced on the floor of the House of Representatives based on her case. We’ll talk to Shelley to get her thoughts on seeing other families go through the same issues she’s gone through all these years later — and ask the question “why is this still going on?”
