Charles Barkley has been an outspoken leader who isn’t afraid to dial up the awkward meter in discussions about race — for years he’s been talking about broader issues that need to be solved for black Americans to make greater strides racially, educationally and economically. For me, Charles Barkley should serve as an inspiration to anybody who desires to get beyond the policing issue and get at the deeper underlying issues that perpetuate minority poverty
