On June 27, 2016 Matt Morgan joined the program to discuss his upcoming documentary that reveals the forensic research behind the the stunning news that the Marine Corps had incorrectly identified the Marines involved in the iconic Joe Rosenthal image which depicts the second flag raising on Iwo Jima’s Mount Suribachi on February 23, 1945. The documentary, “The Unknown Flag Raiser of Iwo Jima” will debut on The Smithsonian Channel on July 3, 2016.
