President Trump today once again put the leaders of NATO nations in Europe on “blast” by telling them to pay up.  It’s not an uncommon theme for the President, but it nonetheless signals “division” to some as the United States becomes more vocal about it’s dissatisfaction with the notion that Americans should pay more for the defense of Europe than Europeans do.  BOTTOMLINE: the President is on solid footing, Germany in particular is a freeloading nation relative to the defense of Europe while being the largest economy there.
