Evidently the tone of Secretary James Mattis’s letter of resignation didn’t suit President Trump, he will now depart the DOD on January 1, 2019 so as to prevent him from going to Brussels for a NATO meeting as well as testifying before Congress as the sitting Secretary of Defense.

Also, the U.S. Ambassador to the Anti-ISIS Coalition, Brett McGurk, resigned his position to protest President Trump’s decision to depart Syria.
