On the occasion of the 245th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps… in addition to retelling my favorite Marine Corps Ball story… I wanted to share what is probably my favorite interview that I’ve ever done with a Marine. His name is Cal Humphry, he’s from Missouri, he was sent to the Marine Corps and fought on Iwo Jima with the 27th Marine Regiment. He is an example of the everyday people that you meet… who contribute mightily to the Marine Corps and then go home and do the same with a family and in their community.
